International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) has agreed to invest US$100m expanding Basra Gateway Terminal.
The Filipino terminal operator will develop two berths incorporating a 20 ha yard area.
This will raise the Iraqi terminal’s capacity from 0.6m teu to 1.2m teu. The operator hopes to complete the project in 18 months.
