APMT volumes up following Hamburg Süd integration

Latin American volumes were up

APM Terminals (APMT) recorded 7.9% increase in moves in the first half of the year, handling 7.6m equally-weighted moves (EqW).

During the year’s second quarter, EqW were up by 7.6% to 4.2m, with APMT attributing the growth to the integration of Hamburg Süd with Maersk Line which subsequently prompted positive developments in Latin America.

In the Americas, second quarter volumes grew by 33% to 1.1m moves, while terminals in Europe, Russia and the Baltics registered 3.7% growth and handled 0.8m moves.
