Ships transiting the Amazon River are facing draught restrictions, limiting cargo capacity due to a substantial reduction in the water level along its bed.

The problems with navigability conditions have limited shipments and discharges at the Port of Manaus, stated CMA CGM in a customer notice.

The French carrier said: “CMA CGM would like to warn you that these limited conditions have reached an alarming level, impeding line container vessels to access the port.
