ICTSI’s Victoria International Container Terminal gains approval to perform 14.4 Rural Tailgate Inspections

On-dock inspections will allow for time and cost savings

International Container Terminal Services, Inc’s (ICTSI) Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT), located at the Port of Melbourne, has been officially approved to perform 14.4 Rural Tailgate Inspections.

The approval reinforces the terminal operator’s commitment to streamlining biosecurity compliance for containers bound for rural areas across the state of Victoria, Australia.

It follows the recent policy extension by the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, which broadens the scope of sea fright containers eligible for inspection under the Approved Arrangement class 14.4 – Rural Tailgate Inspection.
