The Port of Colombo achieved a historic milestone throughput of just under 7.8m teu in 2024, coinciding with ongoing infrastructure developments aimed at enhancing the port’s capacity.
Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) terminals also achieved its highest-ever throughput last year, reaching 2.41m teu amidst competition.
Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT) secured its place as the top terminal with fully -fledged deep-water facilities at the Port of Colombi with just over 3.3m teu handled.
