APM Terminals Maasvlakte II signs contract with Embotech and Terberg to purchase 30 electric ATTs

The new fleet is expected to enter service in Q1 2027

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (APMT MVII), together with Embotech and Terberg, has signed a cooperation contract for the supply and entire implementation of 30 electric automated terminal trucks (ATTs). 

The new fleet of ATTs is expected to enter service in the first quarter of 2027 and the project follows a successful pilot and extensive testing at APMT MVII, after which all-new autonomous technology was deemed ready for large-scale deployment. 

Harold Kunst, APMT MVII CEO, said: “This unique three-party collaboration with Embotech and Terberg marks an important step in our ambition to make MVII not only the largest, but also the most efficient, most sustainable and safest automated terminal in Europe.
