MICT receives Philippines’ first near-zero emission RTGs

The Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTIS) flagship operation in the Philippines, has acquired eight hybrid rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes that feature near-zero emission (NZE) technology.

Manufactured by Japan’s Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd (MES), the RTG cranes mark a significant step toward responding to customer demands while ensuring environmentally friendly operations.

Christian Gonzalez, ICTSI executive vice president, said: “The arrival of these near-zero emission RTGs further underpins our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint while enhancing operational capabilities.
