APMT Gothenburg achieves GMPH record during blizzard

APM Terminal (APMT) Gothenburg was able to achieve a record Gross Moves Per Hour (GMPH) on a mainliner call despite extreme weather conditions due to a blizzard.

Gothenburg braced itself for winds of up to 30 metres per second but through proactive planning, the terminal was able to achieve a GMPH of 33.29, narrowly surpassing the previous record of 33.22.

Rickard Lindén, APMT Gothenburg supervisor, said: “Our fantastic dispatchers for the vessels and empty depot planned efficiently before the storm hit so that we could maintain high crane productivity and use our resources in an incredibly dynamic way.
