Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) recorded a 23% increase in its operating profit to €134m (US$140m), falling between the forecast range of €125-145m (US$130m-152m), despite challenging market conditions in 2024.
Revenue grew by 11% to €1.6bn (US$1.7bn) and Group container handling at HHLA’s seaport terminals increased slightly to almost 6m teu.
Container throughput at the Hamburg container terminals was largely unchanged from the previous year at 5.7m teu while transport volume in the intermodal segment rose 12% to 1.8m teu.
