APM Terminal Maasvlakte II (APMT MVII) has started the expansion of its terminal, realised in cooperation with the Port of Rotterdam Authority and the CareGo consortium, which will double the capacity.
The first phase of the expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and the project will make the terminal not only the largest but also the most efficient and sustainable automatic APMT operator in Europe.
Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of Port of Rotterdam Authority, said: “Today we celebrate an important milestone in the 25-year cooperation between APMT and the Port of Rotterdam Authority. I am proud of the dedication and flexibility of the teams from both organisations in designing and realising this state-of-the-art terminal.
