International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s Argentina-based facility TecPlata has become the first terminal in Buenos Aires to obtain the Business Alliance for Secure Commerce (BASC) certification.
BASC is an international nonprofit organisation that promotes secure trade through cooperation with governments, regulatory agencies, and other global institutions.
To achieve such a certification, TecPlata had to demonstrate strict adherence to security and control management protocols, helping to prevent illegal activities such as smuggling, drug trafficking, terrorism, and cargo theft.
