International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has reported a 2% increase in container throughput to 13.07m teu and record net income of US$830.94m, rising by 23%, for 2024.
The increase in container volumes was mainly due to the impact of new services and improvement in trade activities at certain terminals, and the contribution of Visayas Container Terminal (VCT), the new terminal in Iloilo, Philippines.
However, this was partially offset by the decrease in volume at Contecon Guayaquil S.A. (CGSA), the impact of expiration of the concession contract at Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) and the deconsolidation of PT PBM Olah Jasa Andal (OJA).
