Porto Itapoá was the second largest container handler in Brazil during the first quarter of 2025, according to data released by Brazil’s National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ).
The terminal recorded more than 202,000 containers during this period, placing the Santa Catarina terminal behind only the Santos complex as the leader in southern Brazil.
In the first quarter of 2024 the terminal handled just over 146,000 containers, thus in comparison Porto Itapoá handled 37% more year-on-year.
