APMT Barcelona and Valencia join Portchain Connect Network

Both APM Terminals (APMT) Barcelona and APMT Valencia have joined the Portchain Connect Network, enabling the two Spanish hubs to provide carrier customers with earlier, more reliable updates and a single, consistent channel for berth coordination.

Portchain Connect reduces manual communication, increased berth-plan accuracy and helps planners boost berth utilisation at the terminals.

For its carrier customers, the solution’s faster alignment supports Just-In-Time port calls, trimming waiting time by around two hours per port call and enabling fuel savings of up to 10% on certain voyages, while lowering associated CO₂ emissions.
