South Carolina Ports (SC Ports) recorded a 1% dip in container volumes to 206,859 teu at its marine terminals in October but fiscal year volumes remain above plan.
However, October also marked the strongest month for loaded exports since June with an 18% year-on-year increase.
The predicted slowdown mirrors national trends as containerised imports in the US saw an 8% year-on-year decrease in October, following the frontloading of imports over the summer months.
