Jebel Ali Terminal 1 implements Navis SPARCS
Handling around 10m teus annually, Terminal 1, operated by DP World (DPW), is one of only four that have implemented the two-stage software from Zebra Enterprise Solutions. The other terminals include Jebel Ali Terminal 2, Empresa Nacional de Puertos del Peru and DPW Caucedo in South America.
The integration of SPARCS Analytics and Monitor at Terminal 1 will form an integral component of DP World, UAE region’s corporate data warehouse.
“Before business intelligence software, collecting this information was not only very laborious but was also too late to provide the kind of real-time feedback that we needed to proactively manage our operations,’’ said Pedro Caballero, director – terminal planning and performance, for DP World UAE region.
