Bromma off to a good start

Significant spreader orders have been received during Q1

Bromma has reported a Q1 unit order intake 20% higher than the corresponding period in 2013. The mix of Yard and STS spreaders indicates a fair amount of replacement business for existing STS cranes, a trend which was seen also throughout most of 2013.

The company has also seen increasing activity and interest in its Weight Verification solution with sensors mounted on the spreader twistlocks, no doubt partly due to the expected regulations from IMO regarding verification of weight before a container can be loaded to vessel.

Bromma’s strengthened global market position in 2013 appears to be continuing into 2014 with a geographical distribution weighted towards Asia Pacific and Middle East, in line with market growth predictions.
