The Port of Rotterdam Authority’s €5m (US$5.7m) incentive scheme for climate-friendly shipping is now open for applicants as the port aims to contribute to the realisation of climate policy targets in the Netherlands and worldwide.
The scheme, announced at the Energy in Transition Summit in April 2018, runs until 2022 and is open to shippers, shipping companies, fuel manufacturers and suppliers, engine manufacturers and service providers.
The initiative is intended to promote projects and demonstrations that make use of low-carbon or zero-carbon fuels delivered in Rotterdam’s port area.
