Hull receives new US$4.4m hybrid crane

The Port of Hull has received a £3.5m (US$4.4m) hybrid Liebherr harbour crane that aims to support growing business and eco-friendly operations.

The new crane allows Thor Shipping & Transport, which has just committed to a new 10 year agreement, to work on two vessels simultaneously in order to meet the needs of its customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The company’s managing director, Thomas Bryan, said: “We handle an array of cargo including containers, steel and timber.
