APMT Barcelona buys 29 Konecranes straddles
APM Terminals (APMT) Barcelona has bought 29 straddle carriers from Konecranes Noell.
The machines have a lifting capacity of 50 tonnes up to three heights and feature a twin lifting system.
They are equipped with a PLC system that includes a Creon-S safety controller and a next generation engine that will allow the terminal to save on fuel and reduce its carbon dioxide emissions. Likewise, all machines are prepared to be automated during an upcoming phase.
