Area for new container terminal at Santos enters public consultation

The National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq) in Brazil has opened the public consultation for the lease of the STS 10 terminal at the Port of Santos, intended for the handling and storage of containers.

Located in the Saboó region on the right bank of the port, the terminal will have an area of more than 600,000 sq m.

Although the area is currently divided into six terminals, of which give have temporary contracts, the idea is to lease for the installation of a single terminal with a layout in line with the world’s large container terminals, to increase the capacity of the port.
