Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) has announced investments of nearly US$15m in renewing port equipment during this year in alignment with the concessionaire’s strategy to strengthen its position as a multipurpose port terminal, venturing into new markets and expanding its customer base.
During the first half of 2025, the terminal will add a second state-of-the-art mobile harbour crane (MHC), specifically a Konecranes ESP.10, and the first batch of eight Kalmar container cranes.
Rodrigo Pommiez, ITI general manager, said: “We are focused on improving ITI’s competitiveness and productivity, for which this significant investment in equipment is essential.
