Container volumes drop 15% at Haropa Port as transhipment falls

Port 2000 at Le Havre

HAROPA PORT has registered a 19% increase in annual container throughput to 3.1m teu for 2024 against a complicated economic and geopolitical backdrop for French and European ports.

A feature of the container sector in 2025 will be the addition in Port 2000 of seven new Terminal Investment Limited (TiL) gantry cranes, following on from the arrival of the first two on November 11, 2024.

The latest-generation equipment are the world’s biggest cranes to date and will enhance productivity and competitiveness in the Port of Le Havre.
