Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) is one of 11 partners to have signed a joint development agreement that aims to facilitate the transportation of green hydrogen between Oman and Europe.
The planned corridor will connect the Port of Duqm in Oman with Amsterdam as well as logistics locations in Duisburg and other key regions of Germany.
HHLA’s contribution to the partnership includes its expertise and infrastructure, in particular via the Europe-wide intermodal network of its rail subsidiary Metrans, to ensure the efficient onward distribution of hydrogen.
