BACT and BTP to assume single port operator role for Batu Ampar Port North Pier
Batu Ampar Container Terminal (BACT), a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), and Interport Mandiri Utama (Interport), in cooperation with Batam Terminal Petikemas (BTP), will officially assume the single port operator role for the North Pier of Batu Ampar Port starting on December 1, 2025, carrying all responding rights and obligations as port operators.
The integrated operational structure will improve service standards, strengthen operational efficiency, and enhance Batu Ampar’s competitiveness as a regional logistics hub.
The North Pier features modern facilities for high-volume cargo handling with an annual capacity of 900,000 teu and features a 1,032 m berth.
