The Port of Poti

The US Department of State, Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) programme, in consultation with the Maritime Transport Authority (MTA) of Georgia and Amentum, has chosen Hamburg Port Consulting (HPC) as its partner to establish an electronic data exchange platform providing comprehensive IT management services.

A National Maritime Single Window (NMSW) is an electronic platform that facilitates the exchange of information between government agencies and the shipping industry and serves as a centralised system for reporting and processing maritime transport-related information, such as cargo, vessel, crew and port details.

As of January 1, 2024, all public authorities of International Maritime Organization (IMO) member states are required to establish, maintain and use such systems in ports.
