MCI to integrate Copeland’s reefer monitoring system in Sekstant-enabled Star Cool reefers
Copeland and Maersk Container Industry (MCI) have announced a collaboration to integrate the REFCON 6 BLE reefer monitoring system with MCI”s Star Cool reefer containers fitted with Sekstant gateways.
The partnership is meant to help aggregate multiple Internet of Things (IoT) provider datasets to improve cold chain visibility in the marine shipping industry.
Vessel operators must manage multiple IoT service providers and data sources, creating onboard challenges in promptly identifying temperature fluctuations and addressing refrigeration equipment malfunctions.
