Partners of the Rotterdam-Singapore Green & Digital Shipping Corridor have urged the shipping sector to meet the rising demand for sustainable fuels along the corridor.
First announced in August 2022 as a collaboration between the Port of Rotterdam and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the shipping corridor initiative aims to reduce emissions from large containerships along its 15,000 km route by at least 20% by 2030.
The project is supported by 25 partners, operating more than 90 large container vessels on the route, with a combined transport capacity of 1.5m teu per year.
