Fundación Valenciaport has joined the TwinShip project, a consortium of 18 entities, which aims to revolutionise the maritime sector through the creation of an integrated digital framework based on a digital twin, which will allow for greener operation of ships.
An open-source digital platform will be developed that will use advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimise maritime operations.
One of its main goals is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the maritime industry by 30-40% by 2030 and reach zero emissions by 2045, all using clean technologies and unmanned vessels as part of sustainable solutions.
