The improved E-One+ RTG features better maintenance access, and some key components have been relocated so that they can be more easily serviced. For example, the emergency hoist stop sensor and spreader cable connection box have been moved to the level of the trolley platform.
There is new cabin and trolley access, with a redesign of the stair system, and a new cabin design incorporates features such as better all-around visibility, more space and an optional elevator. The E-One+ has maintenance-free propeller shafts and a trolley drive chain that do not require greasing, while the previous festoon system to feed the trolley electricity has been replaced by a more reliable and efficient cable chain system.
Many of the new model’s components have been adjusted and redesigned to facilitate easier, quicker connections during the erection process. The new design also factors in faster maintenance of the hoist ropes, which means better crane availability, according to Kalmar.
