DP World reports strong volume growth of 9.4% in 2021
DP World handled 77.9m teu across its global portfolio of container terminals in 2021, with gross container volumes up 9.4% year-on-year on a reported basis and up 8.9% on a like-for-like basis.
Key growth drivers for the gross container volume increase included India, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Europe, Australia, and the Americas.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group chairman and CEO, said: “We are delighted to report another strong volume growth with growth of 9.4% for the year, which is once again ahead of industry growth of 6.5%.
